LSMA (the Life Science Manufacturers Association), founded by Cytiva, Merck, Sartorius, and Thermo Fisher Scientific, has successfully concluded its inaugural General Assembly on 19 March, marking a pivotal moment for the life science manufacturing sector in the EU.  Representing the full value chain of the life science sector from raw materials to finished products, LSMA has a vital role to play in global health security. As a central pillar of the health ecosystem, LSMA delivers critical innovation and solutions to patients and health systems in all circumstances. This includes championing robust pandemic preparedness and response strategies, ensuring the industry is equipped to rapidly innovate and scale production in future health crises. LSMA is filling the large representative gap of the Life Science sector in policy and regulatory processes by providing a representative platform for dialogue with regulators and interested stakeholders to contribute our unique perspectives, address the sector’s challenges and advocate for policies that support innovation and health system resilience.
