Brussels, Belgium – 3 March 2026 – The Life Science Manufacturers Association (LSMA) has appointed Adrien Samson as Secretary General, effective 1 March. In this role, he will lead LSMA’s operations in Brussels and support the Board in delivering the association’s vision for life-science manufacturing in Europe.

Adrien brings extensive experience in EU public affairs and life sciences policy, having worked across complex legislative and industrial files in Brussels.

The Board also wishes to thank Gabriele Collatina, LSMA’s first Secretary General, for his contribution in establishing the association and laying a strong foundation for its development. His work has been instrumental in positioning LSMA as a credible and constructive voice for life-sciences manufacturers in Europe.

“On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to welcome Adrien as Secretary General,” said John Clarke, President of LSMA. “As LSMA enters its next phase, we are committed to strengthening the association’s visibility, impact, and relevance at European level. Adrien will play a key role in further consolidating LSMA’s position as the collective voice of life-science manufacturers.”

“I am honoured to take on the role of Secretary General and to build on the work already achieved,” said Adrien Samson. “Life sciences are central to Europe’s competitiveness and innovation agenda. It is essential that the contribution of upstream manufacturers is clearly recognised within that broader ambition. I look forward to working closely with the Board and members to advance shared priorities, strengthen LSMA’s external positioning, and support a strong and globally competitive European life-sciences manufacturing base.”

LSMA will continue to work closely with European institutions, industry partners, and other stakeholders to advance its mission and support a globally competitive, innovative, and sustainable life-science manufacturing base in Europe.
